It's a SAMPLER and - if you'd like - a Zoom Gathering, too!
All who order this are invited to join our 1-hour "Zoomed" elaboration on these six delightful bubblies. That happens on Thursday, October 1 at 6pm and we need your email address in order to "invite" you!
The Six Bottle Sampler is 129.99 for non-members. TWS Wine Club Members using their discount code get this for just 116.99!!
One Bottle Each:
Mercat 'Brut Nature' Cava - Spain . . . We often carry THREE different Cavas from this producer, and chose this in order to tell you "Brut Nature" implies a drier sparkling wine with a bit more food-craving "attack". Don't be afraid; you'll enjoy being attacked!
Vignerons de Mancey Cremant de Bourgogne Brut - France . . . This 'Brut' employs Burgundy's best-known varietals Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and "celebrates inclusivity" by inviting Gamay and Aligoté to the party. As close to Champagne as you can get!
Pierre Bise Cremant de Loire Brut - France . . . This might be my fave non-Champagne sparkling wine, made entirely of Chenin Blanc in the Loire Valley subregion of Savennieres. Bone dry, complex, intelligent, and reckless.
Huber Sparkling Rosé - Austria . . . Here's a fun, beautifully-coloured sparkling made with Austria's own Zweigelt (50%) and better-known Pinot Noir (50%). Lively and brisk, and beautifully-fruited.
La Crema Brut Rosé - Russian River Valley . . . While this larger-production brand rarely appears on our shelves, we're proud to access La Crema's smaller-production, methode traditionelle sparkling wine made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is dignified and delicious.
Graham Beck 'Methode Cap Classique' Brut - South Africa . . . This producer has been "nailing" bubbly for quite some time, and also provides tremendous value. Roughly half-and-half Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Serious bubbles for a very accessible price.
