We carried this long ago, nicknaming it "The Pineapple Bottle" for the unique packaging. It disappeared from our market for quite some time but recently reemerged. We tasted it and immediately bit.

Gavi is the Piemonte sub-region and Cortese is the grape at play here. It is meant to be discreet and bright dry white wine, but too many examples say next to nothing to me: "Discreet" is one thing, but how about a little flavor?! That happens here, carefully. Stone fruit and citrus and apple flavors flirt but don't fully commit. You have to chase them down, and that's the fun of this wine!
