2020 JEAN FRANCOIS '12 Rows' PINOT NOIR

Who knew this would ever happen?!

Here is a Burgundy (France) producer's affirming nod to one of California's most famous Pinot Noir sources and one of 'Sideways Country's' most venerable vineyards.  We scored 12 bottles of this beauty which was awarded 98 points by Wine Advocate.  More important than the accolade:  WE tasted it and fully endorse it to those of you in the market for world class Pinot. 

I called the fruit 'warmhearted' in my notes.  'Intense and Gratifying' also appear there.  This is structured but fully ripe - or fully ripe but structured.  '12 Rows' is anything but sloppy or over-made.  It's riper than Burgundy but 'smart' like Burgundy.  It is a truly endearing and GREAT Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

This is a rare non-discountable wine.  If we sell out our 12 bottles fast enough there MAY be a little more to speak for.  Pinot Cherishers:  Pounce!!
