Prepare your senses for a fragrant and delicious sensory ride. This uses fruit from two very different Monterey County vineyards. One is Coastview, which despite its name is 2400 feet above sea level very near the Chalone AVA and Pinnacles National Park. Soil type: Decomposed granite plus limestone. The other is Olson, just five miles in from the chilly Pacific in Prunedale, planted on a sand dune. The wine is comfortably fruit-forward while challenging with wild savories. It is really, really good. I'm drinking too much of it!
